When the hurt doesn’t go away
If you have already had an abortion, we have some special resources just for you. Women who have been through the abortion experience often feel nobody understands their feelings. At WomanKind Medical Clinic, we do know. Some of our client advocates have been there too, and know full well the emotional impact of their decision.
Some women experience strong negative emotions many years after their procedure. Depending on your age, background and your unique circumstances, you may be feeling symptoms of Post Abortion Stress, or PAS.
These symptoms often include several of these: Guilt, anger, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, anniversary grief, flashbacks, sexual problems, relationship problems, eating disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, and psychological reactions.
We encourage you to talk to us about what you are feeling. We can help you sort through these emotions and get to a place where real healing begins.
